I'm in the East

Greetings friends,

It all began early Thursday morning. I awoke after 2 hours of sleep, loaded up the car and was taken by mother to the airport at about 5am. From BHM I traveled to Memphis, and hooked up with some other Fulbrighters from the East coast and South. From Memphis I traveled to LA, where the entire group was united. From LA to Tokyo, which is ironic since half of my friends thought I was going to Tokyo, (Americans, how we lump the world together), and the other half thought I was going to Africa (my garden of Eden). And, finally, I reached Hong Kong 9pm Friday (8am Friday our time). I just woke up not too long ago, and I am awaiting breakfast, and a short day of greetings and tours. So far, the sights are magnificent, just the hour or so drive from the airport up north to the campus was wonderful. Once the day is over, I will probably post again. I wanted you all to know that I am safe and well despite the flight attendant that apparently chose the wrong career. Keep your eyes on this site, I will keep you informed of my every move (at least the ones that are shameless).

Love,

It is late and night for you and I'm hoping you're getting some sleep. Thanks for the FB message and for this blog entry. I hope that things are exactly as exciting as you would like. I will be waiting to experience Hong Kong through you, so learn a lot and tell me all of it. I'm proud of you, great friend. Miss you.
